.:Paintball FAQ's:.

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions:

Q) Does it hurt when you get shot?
A) No. Well, not usually. As long as you are sensible and wear baggy clothing this will absorb most of the impact. However if you run around with tight fitting clothing then expect a short sharp shock! Seriously though, if it hurt it wouldn't be fun so the organisers take as many precautions as possible to keep the pain down (they give you baggy camouflage, safety masks etc).

Q) How accurate are the markers?
A) They can easily take someone out at a range of 30 meters.

Q) How old do you have to be?
A) Most site operators advertise that you have to be over 12 to play but if you ask them, some 'may' let younger children play. Also note that the children are separated from the adults. Also, just in case some of you are wandering - there is no upper age limit.

Q) How much does it cost?
A) It depends on the individual but someone under the age of 16 should expect to pay around £30 and an adult should expect to pay around £40. (Please note that this is just a guideline, it is possible to pay less but remember, you get what you pay for).

Q) What is included in the sites listed price.
A) This varies but usually it includes a full set of camouflage, face mask, arm band, marker, a full days propellant (i.e. CO2), lunch and around 200 paintballs.

Q) What do I need to take with me?
A) Just wear some old clothes and shoes - you are likely to get a bit dirty.

Q) Does the paint wash out easily?
A) Yes, it is designed to. Also the paintballs themselves are bio-degradable so there are no environmental problems.
